’Odd story — we actually met him in a restaurant parking lot in Maryland, while on a road trip. He and his seven newborn siblings were on the back of a pickup truck, being transported by a volunteer from Louisiana to a shelter in New Jersey. We decided we had to have him, and got him from the shelter a couple days later. Grew up to be about 35 pounds. He’s a very good boy!’

we both were weary travelers - the road we took was long
as you drove on you thought about me - knew it wasn't wrong

’It’s funny because if you delve into Disney history, they spent a *ton* of time getting their princess and animal eyes juuuuust right. Throughout the early years they tried putting cute, animal like eyes on their princesses. Snow White had deer eyes and puppy eyes in early cuts of the film for example. This practice was dropped because it took some darker turns - deer eyes turned into cat eyes and then into lizard eyes as subsequent scenes were drawn. ’PUPDATE: (I like that, I'm using it) Elinor is home and resting comfortably. The surgery was a success and Elinor is already trying to move around...a bit too much really. So she is getting 24/7 attention for a while. I'm a little socked at how draining all this was, and right now we are all very tired. I'll probably post an update with some more pictures tomorrow as people appear to be interested. This is been quite the day. hank you everyone for you kind words. It has meant a lot.’

’To start I want to say Elinor is doing well and she slept through the night. Minus me taking her on a couple bathroom breaks. She has be eating, but like the brat she is, only when it's cheese, and hand feed, but she deserves it. Her mom and I are home with be home with her for the near future. We have gotten many request for updates and pictures, and frankly I was blown away by the response. We think Elinor is really special but we've have never really told her story publicly before, and it seem like some of you might be interested. ’I’m sorry to have a sad post. I’ve just got no one else around. So chip has recently been more quiet and not holding water and food and last night he had a seizure. I took him to an emergency vet and run some tests to find his kidneys are failing. Anything I do now would just delay his end but I’m scared I will be selfish and not let him go when I should. He isn’t walking around much at all now and isn’t really eating but he doesn’t seem to be in pain. Would be real nice to have some views from people who had to put their dog down and how you were after with yourself. It’s my job to protect him but when he looks me in the eyes I feel like I’ve failed him’

’Somebody wasn't thinking here. I think it was the person who bought the kiddie pool. We used to give our Rottweiler a laundry basket once a month, as a toy to tear apart. Rottweiler jaw pressure is approximately 320 lb/square inch.’
we are the dogs, n this our POOL!
the water feels so nice n cool
we love it so - our Favrit toy
which means that soon we MUST DESTROY !
we dig the water out - what for ?!
so Then we can play TUG of WAR!!

’A little bit of backstory. We suspect she was a bait dog (a dog for dog fighting) because she had a rope around her. When we first found her she was tiny and very nervous. She is now very healthy and is happy with our other dog Hansel. She doesn’t really bark a whole lot and she loves it when people pet her. When we let her outside she waits patiently to be let in.’
